Court-Related & Legal Programs
PTI/Arbitration (Adolescent)
A six-week educational program designed for adolescent who has been arrested and involved with the solicitor's program. The program will educate the adolescent on the dangers of substance use and high-risk behaviors.
PTI (Adults)
A six-week educational program designed for adults who have committed non-violent crimes by allowing them to achieve rehabilitation by participating in an intervention and/or treatment program.
Alcohol and Drug Safety Action Program (ADSAP)
This state designed program is for persons who have been charged with Driving Under the influence and need to complete a program to become re-licensed. An assessment identifies the depth of the problem and appropriate treatment is recommended.
AEP: Alcohol Education Program
A South Carolina required program for minors who have incurred an alcohol related offense.
AIP: Alcohol Intervention Program
A South Carolina mandated treatment response for a minor who has incurred a second/multiple alcohol related legal offense(s).
Therapeutic & Support Groups
TARGET
(Teens At Risk Group Education and Training) group for adolescent boys and girls who are abusing substances. Teaches the dangers of drug abuse, potential for dependence, and relapse prevention skills.
Trauma Recovery Empowerment Model (TREM)
A group of adult women who have endured some type of trauma.
Women's Empowerment Group
A therapeutic and psycho educational group for women who have been in abusive relationships to assist them in developing healthier boundaries, build assertiveness skills, self-worth, and identify the patterns of abusive relationships.
Peer Support
A service provided by a staff member who is part of the recovery community. The goal is to provide guidance and encouragement for clients to take responsibility and actively participate in their own recovery.
Substance Abuse Counseling
An educational group that teaches about the effects of alcohol and other drugs on the mind and body and encourages the development of healthy coping skills. This group is for persons that have a problem with use of substances and could be headed for addiction.
Anger Management
An eight-week educational class designed to teach anger management skills. Participants learn to understand the cycle of violence, discover the triggers, trace the effects of violence on their lives and their family.
Gambling Edutherapy
Specialized services for individuals and families affected by problem gambling. Problem gambling is defined as any gambling behavior that disrupts or negatively impacts other areas of an individual's life.
Workplace & Community Support
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
The program seeks to improve the vocational functioning level of employees whose job performance is affected by alcohol/drug abuse or personal problems. The program serves as a mechanism to intervene and provide appropriate services at the earliest possible point.
Prevention
Our prevention department offers several programs and services for the citizens of Marion, Dillon, and Bennettsville.
School Counseling Program
TBC serves schools in Marion, Dillon, Bennettsville by offering onsite counselors who are specifically trained to this population to provide individual and/or group therapy. Students in need of services are identified and referred by the school.
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)
TBC partners with contract medical providers to provide Medication-Assisted Treatment. Combination of medication and therapy can successfully treat these substance use disorders, and for some people struggling with addiction, MAT can help sustain recovery.
